This report was prepared under the UNDP/GEF Project ‘City of Almaty Sustainable Transport’. The report analyzes the current state of energy efficiency in transport sector of the Republic of Kazakhstan and provides
recommendations for central and local governments of the country on how to improve it based on the synthesis of international best practices.
