The final conference of the UNDP-GEF "City of Almaty Sustainable Transport" project will be held on the 16-17th November 2017 in the hall "Nomad" of the "Ramaty Almaty" hotel.
Conference objectives:
- To share results and lessons learned of UNDP-GEF "City of Almaty Sustainable Transport" (CAST) project in the field of transport policy, planning and specific demo projects.
- To present main findings and recommendations for development of public transport and discuss prospects for future projects.
- To present results of research implemented by partners; discuss barriers and opportunities for integration of urban and transport planning with counterparts from other CIS cities.
- To develop recommendations and discuss possible ways of cooperation among various international and national projects with aim to promote sustainable transport and urban mobility for low-carbon development of cities of Kazakhstan.
At our conference you will be able to visit an exhibition dedicated to the post-carbon development and organized by an Austrian organization "Smarter than car", participate in a training on the calculations of the greenhouse emissions from the transport projects and in a round-table on the electromobiles promotion.
